Magnificat Rowing Ends Season Strong; Caps Off Fantastic Inaugural Season

The Magnificat Rowing team completed an extremely successful first season when they competed in the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association Regional Championship in Zanesville, Ohio on May 13th.
The team continued to exceed expectations with of their all boats making the Semi-final races and two boats making it to the Finals and racing on the Sunday.
Sunday began with a very exciting race, and the Blue Streak 1st Novice 8+ taking 2nd Place to New Trier (IL), one of the top teams in the county by .25 of a second.
The 3rd 8+, the other team to make it to finals, fought a hard fought battle to take 4th against seasoned Varsity crews.
The Magnificat team finished 8th out of 31 overall for women’s team points.
