District Runner-Up Finish Caps Strong Meet for Swim Team As Four Advance to State

Magnificat Swimming delivered a standout performance at the OHSAA Division I District Meet on February 21st at Bowling Green State University, earning a Runner-Up finish as a team and sending four athletes to the state meet.

From the opening events, the team showed depth and determination, piling up points in both individual and relay races. Strong finishes in freestyle and backstroke set the tone early, while clutch swims in the finals secured the second-place team trophy.

Four swimmers punched their tickets to state with top qualifying times:

Alta Taseff '26 - 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay

The OHSAA Division I State Meet will take place on Friday, February 27th at 9:00am (Preliminaries) and Saturday, February 28th at 2:00pm (Finals) at CT Branin Natatorium in Canton.
